Simon DeFoy

I turned professional in January, 1990 and undertook my PGA training at Coombe Hill Golf Club, under my father, Craig, an ex European tour player and currently playing on the European seniors’ tour.
I have been a qualified class AAT member of the British PGA since 1995.  The majority of my time between 1990 and 1999 was spent pursuing a playing career.
I won over 25 PGA events during this time. In January 2000 I took over as the Club Professional at Tyrells Wood Golf Club in the UK where I was responsible for all day-to-day golf related issues as well as running my retail business and Golf Academy.
As a coach, I specialize in short game, and course management/strategy.  I will incorporate these areas into my group and individual lessons.
I will also run some intensive short game classes for those wanting to concentrate on these specific areas of the game, as well as offering on-course tuition for those wishing to improve their course management and shot making skills.

Andrew Marchbank, BSc

AAA Rated Member of the PGA of Australia.

Andrew has extensive experience helping golfers of all ages and skill levels improve their game.

Andrew takes a holistic approach to the Five areas that influence golf performance. By assessing and addressing the Physical, Mental, Technical, Tactical and Equipment issues, all golfers can improve and achieve long term satisfaction from their golf.

It is by neglecting one or more of these areas that causes the frustration felt when improvement is slow or does not occur at all.

It does not need to be this way!

Along with holding a AAA rating with the PGA of Australia, Andrew is a qualified club fitter, and has a BSc in Human Movements and Psychology from the University of Queensland.

Andrew has taught at numerous facilities in the eastern states and was Assistant Professional at Royal Queensland Golf Club before joining the team at Whaleback.

At Whaleback’s Learning Centre..

THE EXPLAINER

One of the most misunderstood components of the golf swing is Swing Plane.
This news teaching tool will have you understanding not only swing plane, it will also teach you connection and these are the most important parts of the swing as taught by Butch Harmon and David Ledbetter to such great players as Faldo, Tiger Woods and now our own Adam Scott.
When you put this together with the Achiever and a video of your swing, you will see why Whaleback’s Learning Centre is at the cutting edge of technology.

When you add this to our highly qualified teaching staff, you will be able to:
See your swing faults and see the improvements.
Be able to feel the difference between what you were doing and what you want to be doing.
This makes it very easy and painless to make changes so that your golf game can go to levels that you have only dreamt of!
